WOODLAND TREKS

Level: Gentle. For folks who may be nervous to trek or "slow down" a fast group. We move slowly and stop for frequent breaks with no pressure to keep up with faster folks.

Our most accessible trek: Meander through some of New Jersey's most beautiful secret wonders at a relaxed pace. If you're a wild child you might get antsy on such a gentle trek, although you're welcome to chill with us if you're itching to stop and smell the roses and enjoy some mellow yoga.

  • Trail: wide(ish)
  • Surface: smooth(ish)

BIRD'S EYE TREKS

Level: Adventurous. This means you'll be fine if you can hike approximately 2 mi/hr over challenging terrain. We'll still stop for breaks and there will a mix of active paces.

Explore the northern Appalachian mountains! We set off into the woods along beautiful trails leading to our outdoor yoga venue. After some good, clean sweat and a refreshing open-air class, we chow down for lunch and then hike back to civilization with a new adventure under our belts.

AUTUMNAL EQUINOX CAMPING RETREAT

 

Level: Adventurous. This means you'll be fine if you can hike approximately 2 mi/hr over challenging terrain carrying your pack.

Scale a cliff or two and explore the legendary trails around northern New Jersey. This time after our outdoor yoga practice we bunker down for dinner under the stars, camp out overnight, and cook breakfast as the sun rises around us.  We pack up camp and do a bit more exploring before heading back to civilization the next day with a little extra twinkle in our eyes and mountain miles under our feet.

TRAIL STOMPIN' BACKPACKING YOGA RETREATS

Spend seven days exploring the wonder of the Tennessee and North Carolina mountains.

Level: Wild Child! You'll be carrying a 30-45 lb. backpack over 6-12 miles of mountainous terrain each day and sleeping out under the stars. Get ready! (retreat schedule below)

Stay at Blue Moon Base Camp (shared indoor accommodations with showers) for the first and last two nights. One day hike to test out your trail legs (and sleep back at base camp) then strap on your pack! We'll be backpacking and camping for the next three days/two nights before we descend upon the majestic Nolichucky River for a hard-earned river dip and merciful pickup! Then back to Base Camp for dinner, real showers, and sleep in a bed! The last full day is a free day in Asheville, NC. Morning and evening transportation provided to and from Asheville for one last sleep in the mountains before heading home after breakfast Sunday morning. Ooh, that feels good!

RETREAT SCHEDULE:

(Yoga and meditation throughout the week. Schedule may be subject to minor modifications)

All days at Base Camp include indoor accommodations, showers, and healthy meals.

  • Monday - fly into Asheville, NC airport and we'll pick you up at 5pm, or drive to Blue Moon base camp by 6:30pm for dinner!
  • Tuesday - Breakfast, yoga, gear check, and day hike (brown bag lunch), dinner, packing, and sleep back at Base Camp.
  • Wednesday - Breakfast at base camp, day one of hiking, lunch and dinner on the trail, camping at night.
  • Thursday - Day two of hiking, all meals on the trail, camping at night.
  • Friday - Day three of hiking, breakfast and lunch on trail, dinner back in civilization! Showers and sleep at Base Camp.
  • Saturday - Day trip! Transportation provided to and from Asheville, NC. Free day to explore! We will also take you to the Asheville airport if you're departing Saturday afternoon. (You will be responsible for your meals and entertainment in Asheville.) 
  • Sunday - Breakfast, pack up, and departure by noon. Transportation to Asheville provided. Happy trails!
